Master of Arts in Art Education

Make. Connect. Lead.

The Master of Arts in Art Education (MAAE) leverages the expertise in creative thought and action to prepare today’s teachers and future educators to address ongoing educational challenges.

The Master of Arts in Art Education (MAAE) is designed to advance the professional careers of artists and educators who are committed to democratizing access to high-quality arts education across schools, museums, galleries, and community and cultural organizations.

The MAAE program is designed to be completed in four semesters, encompassing two intensive summer sessions that are complemented by online courses. Seeking to accommodate the schedule of teaching professionals, this summer intensive format enables deep engagement with studies during the months when educators are typically not teaching.

Though there are numerous reasons why I chose DAAP, it mostly boils down to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, the supportive welcoming nature of the faculty, and quality of the curriculum. I'd recommend my program for anyone who loves learning and challenging their intellectual boundaries! If you can dream it, you can make it happen at DAAP.
