Advising
Academic advising is a process in which students and academic advisors work together to achieve the student’s educational and personal goals. Typically the student and the advisor collaborate to create a broad understanding of program/major requirements and university and DAAP policies and procedures, as well as to develop course schedules in order to fulfill degree requirements and student interests. Academic advisors can also identify additional campus and community resources as needed to enhance the student’s tenure, both personally and academically, at UC.
Undergraduate Student Handbook
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the DAAP Student Handbook. It serves as a valuable resource on the policies of both UC and DAAP. Plus, will acquaint you with the broad array of services available within the college and campus.
Student Support
You can find important student related resources, forms, and links on the Student Support webpage.
Scholarships
Thanks to the generosity of numerous alumni and friends of the college, scholarships are available to students in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. With one application you can apply for all college-wide and most school specific scholarships. Students should submit FAFSA information to UC if one of the eligibility requirements of the scholarship is financial need.
Student Organizations
One of the best ways to get involved in the DAAP community is by joining a student organization. DAAP has over 20 student organizations spreading across all of the major programs. These interests range from political/activist, cultural, academic, social and many more.
New Student Orientation
For students who have recently accepted admission to DAAP, you can find information about registration, computers, and supplies on the New Student Orientation webpage.
