April 4 @ 5pm in 4400 - - Tom Tsuchiya is an internationally acclaimed artist who is best known as both the sculptor of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in New York and the creator of innovative, receptacle sculptures that help deliver social change. His interest in Greek and Roman Art led to his B.A. in Classical Civilization at U.C. In 2016, Tsuchiya was recognized as an Arts and Sciences Distinguished Alumnus. Since 2003, he has been creating sculptures for Great American Ball Park, including the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings Pavilion that will be unveiled on May 4th. Tsuchiya’s latest receptacle sculpture is “Recycling Phoenix” which will be on exhibit in New York City and Cincinnati later this year.
