The Ullman School of Design's annual DAAPworks online exhibition is a highly anticipated event that showcases the remarkable creativity and talent of its graduating students. The 2024 exhibition is no exception, featuring the work of 176 School of Design graduates, who are poised to make a positive impact on the world.

The exhibition is a celebration of the hard work and dedication that these students have put into their education over the last few years, despite the unprecedented challenges brought about by the pandemic. It is a testament to their resilience, perseverance, and creativity. We are very proud of their accomplishments.

The exhibition includes a diverse range of design disciplines, including Industrial Design, Communication Design, Fashion Design, and Master of Design. Each of these disciplines has its unique focus and challenges, and the students' work reflects their expertise and individual creativity.

The SOD faculty, staff, and academic advisors have played an integral role in helping these students reach their full potential, providing guidance, support, and resources throughout their education. Additionally, co-op employers have given students invaluable real-world experience, preparing them for the challenges of the professional world.

Lastly, the unwavering support of family members and friends has been essential to the students' success, providing encouragement and motivation through the ups and downs of their academic journey.

As we celebrate the incredible accomplishments of these 176 students, we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in the world through their designs. The Master of Design (MDes) is a emphasizes systematic approaches for applying research methods to study, define, propose, prototype, and evaluate design projects that respond creatively to complex & open challenges. We prepare our students to take leadership roles in their work after graduation.

Communication Designers give visual form to information, ideas, and feelings. They inform, persuade, educate, and entertain using typography, photography, drawing, video/animation, audio, storytelling, interaction, and space. Communication designers increasingly collaborate with other fields to help meet human needs.

Fashion Design provides a platform for discovery, experimentation, and specialization by way of a strong foundation in critical and cultural theory, experiential learning, craftsmanship, technological literacy, and sustainable stewardship with opportunities for students to author their individual curricular pathway through elective coursework.

Industrial Design provides a platform for the combining of discovery, experimentation, and specialization by way of a strong foundation in critical and cultural theory, experiential learning, craftsmanship, technological literacy, and sustainable stewardship with opportunities for students to author their individual curricular pathway within the product design ecosystem through elective coursework.

The fashion design seniors will participate with all other design disciplines in the full college virtual exhibit of DAAPworks along with exhibiting their capstones at DAAPworks. On Friday, April 26th, their collections will take the runway during our 71st live annual fashion show, DAAPFASH25- THE SHOW. There are still some Fashion Show seats available. The show is being held at MegaCorp Pavilion, the exciting new concert venue conveniently located in Newport, KY.
