DAAP Admissions

Thank you for your interest in the University of Cincinnati (UC) and the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). As one of the most comprehensive schools of art and design in the United States, DAAP is a dynamic and exciting environment in which to study. Students work closely with engaged faculty members and collaborate with professionals and other students involved in a variety of disciplines. The professional practice program, required in many of our disciplines, offers students paid, professional-level, real-world experience that supplements a rigorous educational curriculum.

Step 1: Explore the DAAP website to learn more about our undergraduate programs. Then contact us to request more information.

Step 2: Visit us! On most Mondays and Fridays, we offer tours of our facilities and information sessions. For students new to UC, we recommend a campus tour as well. All tours and information sessions can be scheduled with the Office of Admissions.

Step 3: If you have additional questions or concerns, contact DAAP Student Affairs at daap-admissions@uc.edu or 513-556-1376. We are here to help and want to make sure that you have all the information you need.

Step 4: Apply for admission. Portfolios are not considered in the admissions process for DAAP, with the exception of Fine Arts (effective Fall 2019). Students who apply to Fine Arts will be invited to submit an optional portfolio for admission consideration.
