Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies
The BSUS program provides an education for students interested in identifying and solving issues related to urbanization and globalization. The program serves domestic and international students as a premier program dedicated to comprehensive knowledge of urban areas and challenges related to planning and design of livable futures. The Urban Studies program provides students with a flexible but organized way of preparing productive participants in contemporary urban life. The BSUS program prepares students for public, nonprofit, and private sector employment requiring comprehensive knowledge of urban issues. The program also prepares for the entrance into various graduate and professional degree programs in specialized fields, including planning.
Double Major Program
The School of Planning offers a special double major program combining a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies with a Bachelor of Women’s Studies.
Through the School of Planning’s certificate programs, Urban Studies students can add a specialization in areas such as Geographic Information Systems, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Horticulture, and Historic Preservation. For more information on the certificate programs, visit this link.
