Gerald Michaud has over twenty years of Industrial Design teaching experience at the University of Cincinnati and is currently the coordinator for that program. He introduced Alias Wavefront to the curriculum and is certified to teach that software. He also introduced rapid prototyping. The Rapid Prototyping Laboratory houses a Tarus five axis milling machine, a Bridgeport VMC 1000 three axis machining center, and a Stratasys 3000 rapid prototyping machine. He introduced weekly videoconferencing to the automotive design studio classroom thereby allowing practicing automotive designers to critique student work.
