General Information
Thank you for your interest in the University of Cincinnati (UC) and the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). As one of the most comprehensive schools of art and design in the United States, DAAP is a dynamic and exciting environment in which to study. Students work closely with engaged faculty members and collaborate with professionals and other students involved in a variety of disciplines. The professional practice program, required in many of our disciplines, offers students professional-level, real-world experience (with pay!) intermingled with a rigorous educational curriculum. To learn more about the college and its programs, we recommend the following steps:
Step 1: Explore the DAAP website (http://www.daap.uc.edu) and learn more about our programs.
Step 2: Visit us! Most Mondays and Fridays, we offer tours of our facilities and information sessions for our schools. During the information session, you will have the opportunity to learn more about your program of interest and our admissions process. For students new to UC, we recommend a campus tour as well. All tours and information sessions can be scheduled with the Office of Admissions at http://www.admissions.uc.edu/visit.
Step 3: If you have additional questions or concerns, contact DAAP Student Affairs at daap-admissions@uc.edu or 513-556-1376. We are here to help and want to make sure that you have all the information you need.
Step 4: Apply for admission at www.admissions.uc.edu. Current high school students, please note that portfolios are not accepted as a component of the admission application for any undergraduate program. More information can be found about the admissions process for each program by exploring the web page for each school (see below).
