General Information
Students who attend the University of Cincinnati are encouraged to apply for financial aid. The Student Financial Aid Office is committed to making education as affordable as possible. Every effort will be made to identify university, federal and state resources to assist both undergraduate and graduate students in fulfilling their educational goals.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used annually to apply for all work-study, loan and undergraduate grant programs. Once the FAFSA is submitted and confirmation of it being processed is received, students can check their aid status at the Student Financial Aid Office website. Complete the FAFSA as soon after January 1 as possible. Because some aid programs are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, an early application receives priority consideration for limited funding sources.
Freshmen with exemplary high school academic records may be eligible to compete in the Cincinnatus Scholarship Competition.
