Undergraduate Painting
The undergraduate Painting program offers a wide range of opportunities for students of every aesthetic sensibility. Students develop fundamental painting skills through traditional mediums, techniques and imagery; once the basics are grasped, experimental approaches to image making, and mixed-media painting explorations are encouraged. The Painting area in the DAAP College complex includes 3600 square feet in a three-studio configuration. Two studios support Introduction to Painting, Life Painting and other painting related activities; a third 1500 square foot studio is dedicated to individual studios for Advanced Painting majors.

The faculty are working professionals with extensive exhibition and collection records. The program is geared to encourage students to become professional artists and to pursue further study at the graduate level.
