College of DAAP Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of numerous alumni and friends of the college, scholarships are available to students in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.

Application deadlines and processes vary for each scholarship. Please review thoroughly the information at links below to learn the requirements of those scholarships that might pertain to you. Most college-wide scholarships use the online application. The deadline for most 2012-2013 college-wide scholarships is April 13, 2012.

DAAP Scholarships

Most of the following DAAP scholarships have an online application process. With one application you can apply for all college-wide scholarships. The application is available here. Your application must be submitted by Friday, March 13. Please make sure you are eligible for the awards by reading the information posted on each scholarship's webpage. Students should submit FAFSA information to UC if one of the elligibility requirements of the scholarship is financial need.

These scholarships are available to students currently enrolled at DAAP; incoming freshman or transfer students are not elligible.

DAAP Alumni Association Scholarship

Sponsored by the DAAP Alumni Association, this scholarship is available to pre-juniors and juniors enrolled full-time in DAAP programs. more

Phyllis C. Finch Fund

The Phyllis C. Finch Fund was established to provide scholarship support for DAAP students. more

Jane and Philip Foster Scholarship

Any undergraduate student in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning is eligible for this award. This scholarship is based upon need. more

Dr. Howard B. Leighton Endowed Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established to benefit a full-time undergraduate DAAP student who is a resident of Ohio. Preference shall be given to candidates who have demonstrated talent and excellence in their chosen majors. more

Lewis Franklin Palmer and Marjorie Stewart Palmer Scholarship Fund

Several scholarships are available to DAAP undergraduate students who are sophomore level and above. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated academic ability, with a 3.0 or higher cumulative average and financial need. more

CoraBelle Reoch Scholarship

Established in memory of CoraBelle Reoch, this fund provides scholarships to DAAP undergraduate female students with need, aptitude, and promise. more

Vashti Swan Minority Undergraduate Scholarship

Established in honor of Ms. Vashti Swan on the occasion of her retirement as DAAPs Coordinator of Promotions and Marketing, this fund provides scholarships for a minority freshman or sophomore in DAAP in good academic standing (2.5 or better) and qualifying for financial need. more

Ludwig and Anna Woseczek Scholarship

This fund provides annual scholarships or fellowships to outstanding junior, senior, or graduate students enrolled in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning or in the College of Engineering who show promise of excellence in industrial, mechanical, electrical, commercial, architectural, or other design fields having practical use or application. more

Nancy Bieser Stix Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this gift is to provide a college-wide scholarship to students who are in good standing at the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. more

Macy's Scholarships Endowment in Memory of Rudolph V. Javosky

Macy's, Inc., has made scholarships available to undergraduate students enrolled in Digital, Fashion, Graphic Design, Architecture, and Interior Design. These funds have been given to encourage students to consider retail design careers. more

External Scholarships

The scholarships below are not affiliated with DAAP, but offer scholarship opportunities for DAAP students.

Hyde Park Art Show Scholarship

The Hyde Park Square Art Show awards a $2,500 Scholarship Award that will be applied to the recipient’s senior year fall term tuition.  Information is typically released in the Spring.

Mensa Education & Research Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is available to any person enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an accredited American institution for post-secondary education for the 2013-2014 academic year. more

PFLAG Scholarship Award

The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) offers a scholarship to recognize outstanding gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, intersex and straight supportive students in the local community. Information is typically released in the Spring.

Three Arts Scholarship Fund

Various scholarships sponsored by the Three Arts Scholarship Fund, Inc. are available for junior and senior women in DAAP who exhibit exceptional talent. Information is typically released in the Spring.

UC Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

Varying scholarships for UC undergraduate students, sophomore or above  who are lineal descendents (children or grandchildren) of UC graduates who are members of the UC Alumni Association. more

UC Kacher-Bloom Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship for current full-time student entering his/her senior year exemplifying academic excellence, devotion to student activities and community service, and a strong sense of loyalty and commitment to UC. more

WACE Co-op Scholarship

Current high school seniors who will enroll in a cooperative education program are encouraged to apply for these merit-based scholarships.  more
