Jim Postell is an associate professor of Interior Design at the University of Cincinnati and a registered architect in the State of Ohio since 1987. He has practiced architecture and interior design in Houston, Philadelphia, Princeton and Cincinnati. His current architectural practice and research focuses upon new and renovated building projects for a broad range of clients throughout Ohio and the United States. His interior and furniture commissions have generated over 300 individually designed and fabricated pieces within 20 completed interior projects. Projects include a broad spectrum of Christian Chapels, a Jewish synagogue and interfaith Children's Chapel. Projects also include a medical family practice and private residences in Texas, Florida and Ohio. He has written on the subject of liturgical design, conducted workshops on craft and furniture design at several universities, and directed the sixth international and interdisciplinary Built Form and Culture conference entitled Making Sacred Places held in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1997.
