Co-op

School of Architecture and Interior Design Cooperative Education

The Professional Practice program, also known as “co-op,” offers students an opportunity for selected practical experience purposefully intermingled with a gradually expanding academic background. This unique college program originated at the University of Cincinnati in 1906.

Program Participation

Each academic program has a dedicated Professional Practice faculty member who will meet with and advise students on their individual needs, eligibility, and professional learning goals. Students enrolled in the following SAID programs are required to participate in co-op:

    Master of Architecture
    Bachelor of Science Architecture
    Bachelor of Science Interior Design

Beyond the basic co-op program requirements, SAID students often utilize co-op as a means of traveling and meeting new people to discover academic interests, personal passions, and post-graduation opportunities.
