▶ Danilo Palazzo Starts as UC School of Planning Director

The School of Planning welcomed new Director Danilo Palazzo on September 28, 2012. In addition to serving as the director, Dr. Palazzo is an accomplished urban designer and planner. He comes to us from the Politecnico di Milano, in Milan, Italy. His most recent book is Urban Ecological Design: A Process for Regenerative Places, co-authored with Fritz Steiner, Dean of the College of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Palazzo’s previous position was as an associate professor of urban planning and design at the School of Building Engineering-Architecture, Politecnico di Milano and holds a masters of architecture (MArch) and doctorate of philosphy (PhD). He, his wife, and two children have relocated to the United States from Italy and the SoP looks forward to supporting their transition. Please help us in welcoming them.
