David Varady, FAICP, is a Professor in the School of Planning and teaches courses in Housing Systems, Planning Theories, and Theories of Urban Spatial Structure. Each year he serves as Committee Chair for three BUP and three MCP theses. He is Director of the School of Planning's HUD Community Development Work Study program for graduate planning students, an intern program for ethnic minorities. His professional responsibilities include: (1) being a member of the Editorial Advisory Board (American section) for the journal, Housing Studies, and (2) being co-organizer of the Fannie Mae housing track of sessions for the Association of Collegiate School of Planning meeting in Cleveland, November 8-11, 2001.
