Curriculum and Degree Requirements

As the summary found below indicates, the courses comprising the accelerated four-quarter, twelve-month program are existing graduate level courses offered in the School of Planning and elsewhere in the university, as with the existing two year MCP program. The number of credit hours per quarter is sixteen or seventeen. The degree requires 66 credit hours for completion, sixteen of which will be taken in support of the Graduate Project to form a coherent specialization. In line with the profile of prospective students as mid-career professionals, the course of study is closely related to professional activities. Thus, each student will bring with him or her to Cincinnati a significant, complex professional dilemma of his or her home city. This is to be worked on throughout the year in relation to course offerings each term and developed into an applied Graduate Project to be brought back to the student's place of employment for implementation or further development.
