BSUS

Bachelor of Urban Studies

The BSUS program has an urban and metropolitan emphasis with a global perspective. The program emphasizes the non-physical aspects of the place and the creation of innovative futures, and offers the clearest opportunity for both domestic and international students. The Urban Studies program provides students with a flexible but organized way of preparing productive participants in contemporary urban life. The BSUS program prepares students for public, nonprofit, and private sector employment requiring comprehensive knowledge of urban areas and challenges and for entrance into various graduate and professional degree programs in specialized fields, including planning.

Additional learning opportunities include a summer quarter abroad, and exchange programs with universities in the Netherlands and Turkey. Through the university’s many certificate programs (similar to a minor area of study), urban studies students can add a specialization in areas such as real estate, area studies, a foreign language, planning, and historic preservation.

Double Major Program

DAAP also offers a special double major program combining a Bachelor of Women's Studies and Bachelor of Science Urban Studies. For more information, please go here.
