With a reverence for history, art history, and the past, combined with a strong interest in the effects of digital technologies on our aesthetic and sociological experience, Hedges’ work melds vocabularies in a truly contemporary fashion.  Hedges works in a variety of traditional media including paintings and photographs, as well as new media including internet art.  Hedges has show work at galleries around the tri-state and beyond including the Middletown Arts Center, Kennedy Heights Art Center, Northern Kentucky University, and the Artisans Enterprise Center.  Hedges is also an accomplished singer/songwriter, having placed two songs in the Billboard charts.  more at http://www.joehedges.com
