Professor Benjamin Britton received his M.A. degree from the Goddard Graduate Program at Vermont College in 1983 and his M.F.A. degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1991. He is currently Associate Professor of Art at the College of DAAP at the University of Cincinnati. Professor Britton is a co-founder of the Center for Electronic Reconstruction of Historical and Archaeological Sites (CERHAS) at UC. He has presented his creative research at The Getty Museum, American Film Institute, New Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati, Ars Electronica Museum in Linz, Austria, Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Epcot Center in Florida, and many other locations nationally and internationally. Professor Britton has conducted sponsored research, supported by grants in the fields of art and science from institutions such as the Ohio Board of Regents, Ohio Arts Council and The National Endowment for the Arts. Professor Britton's recent research centers on using computer media as a tool for the creation of works of art. His students have achieved success in the areas of fine arts, design, and academic teaching. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in animation, video and electronic art, and serves as a Faculty Advisor for the Video Games Graphics Group (VG3).
