Bachelor of Art in Art History

The Bachelor of Arts in Art History offers historical and critical instruction in art and architecture. Study of art within history is especially recommended to those students who believe in the value of a broad humanistic education. A fundamental aim of the program is to awaken and to foster an interest in art history, and to provide the student with basic knowledge of artistic activities of the past and present.


Museum Studies
This graduate certificate explores fundamental aspects of museum work. It can provide you with the skills and knowledge that are the basis for many aspects of museum work, including: museum management, collection care and maintenance, exhibition and educational program development, and use of technology in museums.


Museum Studies - Undergraduate
This program prepares students interested in working in museums, in educational and interpretive centers, or in similar organizations promoting public outreach and education.  In addition, it provides a foundation for students interested in pursuing advanced degrees in Museum Studies.  Students gain a well-rounded knowledge of museum studies by taking both hands-on courses focusing on aspects of the museum practices and intellectual courses that address the academic/historical aspects of the field.
